There is an undeniable relationship between our sexuality and the food we eat. And somehow, for millions of Americans we have lost our way on our search for sexual satisfaction and pleasure somewhere in a big box of chocolate.

Emphasis is mine:

When we are trapped in a relationship with food as a replacement for anything other than the food - my suggestion is to go slowly. There is a wonderful free summit on eating disorders going on right now, and the talks will remain up so that you can listen in at any time. Jack into the summit. You will even meet experts who believe that it has everything to do with the food

I believe it's true, Al. I've seen it a lot in other people and have experienced it myself. As far as chocolate, it's know to increase serotonin levels. They say that's why so many women (and men) love chocolate and like to look at chocolate too, especially with Valentine's Day coming up. And let's admit it. You have to have food to survive. And it's as if food will never let you down but then when we see diseases like diabetes headed our way and it's too late to turn back and redo some things like amputations. ( Sorry but I had to point that out and it happened to my uncle.)

From what I've heard, some people become addicted to alcohol because of the sugar in it. A lot of people who see food as sensual and replace it with sex are sometimes addicted to a sugar rush, I think. I may be wrong. We all have our comfort foods like ice cream. God knows there are times when I could keep our local Baskin-Robbins in business. Very sad.

Great psychological article as always, Al!

My pleasure as always. Doubt there are any worries about keeping the Baskin-Robbins open

I was going to save this for V-D, but then I thought the sooner the better. As long as we all remember the food isn't taboo, just remember moderation. As pointed out in the article, making a food taboo has its own perils. - and yes the sex<->food cycle is well known.

Thanks again for stopping by
